DENTISTS
Mr Fadia, 8to8 Dental’s Buckie Principal Dentist has spent the last 14 years of his career in the North East of Scotland. He has a special interest in Implant Dentistry and has been awarded the Post-Graduate Diploma in Implants from Royal College of Surgeons, of Edinburgh. In addition, he is a Qualified Sedation Dentist and offers this as an alternative option to anxious/nervous patients which is a service that is high in demand. He also routinely offers Invisalign and other Smile Makeover options. He is acutely aware of the importance of taking time to discuss all possible treatment options with patients to ensure that they understand and have confidence in the service that is provided.
After qualifying in 2002 from Rajiv Gandhi University, India, he migrated to The UK and finished his M.Sc in Public Health from Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford in 2009.
Mr Fadia is also in to his ninth year as a dental trainer and mentors new dental graduates in their first year after university. He finds it extremely gratifying to see young graduates reach their full potential. 7 of his last trainees have chosen to continue working as Associate Dentists at the practice.
While not at work, he likes to spend time with his 2 kids who help him stay young.

Ms Sinclair, 8to8 Dental Keith’s Principal Dentist has completed her Licence in Dental Surgery (LDS) from The Royal College of Surgeons of England, London in 2014. Before moving to the UK she worked in Australia for 5 years after successfully completing her Australian Dental Council Exams in 2009. She graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University, India in 2002 and has been practising dentistry since.
She practises all aspects of general dentistry with special interests in periodontics. She has also undertaken post graduate diploma in periodontology.
Ms Sinclair is also a dental trainer at our practice in Keith. She believes that it’s extremely important to guide, motivate and encourage new dentists who are embarking upon a dental career which is quite challenging. 2 of her last trainees have chosen to continue working as Associate Dentists at the practice.
Ms Sinclair is also a partner in the business. She works closely with the Principal dentist and managers to deliver people solutions. She also helps the organization meet its goals.
In her spare time she likes gardening and spending time with her family.

He believes listening to patients is essential for them to receive the care which is right for them.
He has particular interests in surgical dentistry and dental education. He is currently studying for a MSc in Implant Dentistry, from the University of Salford and has been mentoring and training recent dental graduates for two years.
He also enjoys treating anxious patients and is a qualified Sedation Dentist and provided clear aligner treatment. He has also completed training in Domiciliary Care providing dental care in care homes.
In addition he is also the Chairman of Grampian Local Dental Committee and is involved in supporting and improving the provision of NHS dental care in the Grampian area.
In his spare time, he will most likely be found walking the dog, kayaking or cooking for friends and family.

She has completed a PG-Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry. This allows her to undertake more complex restorative treatment and give advanced aesthetic options to patients to achieve the smile that they have been looking for.
She is also a vocational trainer for National Education Scotland (NES). Currently, she is also participating in a pragmatic clinical trial to explore an alternative treatment option called Full Pulpotomy compared to the conventional option of Root Canal Treatment for patients experiencing severe toothache called irreversible pulpitis, commissioned, and funded by The National Institute for Health and Care Research, Health Technology Assessment (NIHR HTA) programme.
She likes all aspects of dentistry and enjoys meeting new people and helping them restore their smile and function.

Mr Cheah is originally from Malaysia, qualified from the University of Dundee in 2019. He completed his vocational training in 2020 and quickly realised his passion for orthodontics and restorative dentistry and has been attending courses that focus on this aspect of dentistry.
He has completed Biomimetic Mastership from Alleman Centre of Biomimetic Dentistry in 2022 which is a course that focus on preserving teeth structure and restoring teeth back to function and the biomechanics of natural tooth. In addition, he completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Restorative Dentistry with Distinction and subsequently won Restorative Dentist of the Year 2023 from Smile Dental Academy. Sanath Kumar graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, India, in 2019. With two years of experience as a Dental Surgeon at the Centre for Advanced Dental Care, India, Sanath moved to the UK to advance his skills, pursuing an MSc in Advanced General Dental Practice from Ulster University, Birmingham in 2021. Beyond dentistry, Sanath finds joy in cooking and playing cricket.
a.Sarah is originally from Aberdeen and completed a degree in infectious diseases at the University of Edinburgh in 2018 before embarking on a dentistry degree at the University of Glasgow, qualifying in 2024. Her favourite part of being a dentist is getting to know her patients and helping them to achieve and maintain a healthy mouth which she believes is so important for their overall wellbeing. She is also involved in ongoing professional development and is keen to be continuingly improving her knowledge and skills.
Outside of work, she loves to be either outdoors and exploring the beautiful Moray/Aberdeenshire coast or be sharing a coffee or meal with friends and family.

HYGIENIST / THERAPIST
Lesley infuses the practice with a distinctive and personalized approach, ensuring comfort for her patients. Her commitment goes beyond standard dental services; she is dedicated to educating and empowering her patients about the crucial importance of healthy gums, which contribute not only to a confident smile but also to overall health and wellness.
PRACTICE MANAGER
Jacqueline Simpson is our Practice Manager, having joined us even before the inception in April 2014. She has been with us since the start, has seen the building of the practice and has been part of our early and recent success.
Jackie is also a qualified dental nurse. She started dental nursing in 1994 and has been doing so for more than 30 years. She is from Buckie and is familiar with the dental needs of the community and the surrounds.
She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the practice and ensures things run smoothly for both patients and the team and that high standards of patient care are provided. She is not only fantastic at leading the team but also takes every opportunity to develop herself and improve her skills.
Outside of work Jackie enjoys walking and running.

Melanie our assistant manager, is a qualified Dental Nurse but is seen welcoming patients into the practice. Melanie also feels that being able to chat to patients at reception can be enough to make them feel less anxious about their visit.
Melanie’s responsibilities in treatment coordination and reception, allowing her to take a more direct and holistic approach to meeting patient needs, ensuring satisfaction, and delivering exceptional customer service. Her multifaceted expertise makes her an invaluable asset to any dental practice.
Outside work she enjoys baking, reading, socialising, and spending time with family and friends.

Michelle recently joined the 8to8 Dental team after moving to Buckie with her family from South Africa. She is a calm and friendly person who enjoys face to face contact with new people and is passionate about creating a welcoming environment for our patients. She has excellent communication skills and can easily interact with patients and colleagues.
Michelle finds the dental field fascinating and appreciates the opportunity to learn more about dental care while providing excellent customer service to our patients.

Carla is from Drybridge, Buckie. She joined the team as a Trainee Dental Nurse straight after school and successfully gained her Qualification in Dental Nursing.
Carla exhibits a high level of adaptability to changes in pace and routine. Her ability to seamlessly guide patients through challenging procedures while maintaining a calming atmosphere is a testament to her professional expertise and interpersonal skills. As head nurse she makes sure all the instruments and equipment are well maintained and makes sure our practice is always fully stocked and the LDU is running smoothly.
Additionally, she has undertaken advanced courses in sedation, demonstrating her dedication to staying abreast of the latest advancements in dental care.

Naomi started her journey with us back in 2019 after coming to us from a hospitality background and became a fully Qualified Dental Nurse in 2021. She enjoys all aspects of Dental nursing. Her warmth and empathy help even our most nervous patients feel they can achieve the smile they are looking for, and she finds it rewarding to see happy patients at the end of their treatments beaming from ear to ear.
When not in surgery you will find Naomi greeting you as part of our front of house team. She also loves engaging with patients on reception ensuring patients receive the standard of care they deserve.

Ashleigh, joined the practice at the height of the pandemic and had to not only work towards her dental nurse qualification but also had to adapt to the new post Covid PPE regulations and she did extremely well. She completed her training successfully and qualified in 2022.

Andrew is an enthusiastic trainee dental nurse currently in training. With a keen interest in oral health and patient care, Andrew is dedicated to developing his skills and knowledge in the dental field. His strong communication skills help him connect with patients, making them feel at ease during their visits.
Andrew also helps in the in house lab and maintain the lab in working order. He is skillful in operating the 3D printer and communicate with the dentists to the external lab to make sure all the dentist gets their high quality labwork on time.

Amy is one of our trainee Dental Nurses here and is currently working towards her SVQ.
Amy’s calm and kind personality means she has quickly fitted into the team. She is a very quick learner and excellent at working in surgery.
