
Mrs Desai is an experienced dentist with a focus on cosmetic and restorative dentistry. She is particularly interested in advanced composite bonding and minimally invasive techniques to improve both the function and appearance of patients’ smiles.
She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry from the Smile Dental Academy, enabling her to provide a range of advanced restorative and aesthetic treatments, including smile makeovers.
She has also completed her training from Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD) which enables her to manage anxious patients with sedation.
Mrs Desai graduated from Maharashtra University, India in 2008 and later successfully completed the Overseas Registration Examination (ORE) to practise in the UK. She has been working at the practice for over 8 years.
In addition to her clinical work, she is a vocational trainer with NHS Education for Scotland (NES), supporting newly qualified dentists at the start of their careers. She has also been involved in clinical research, participating in an NIHR-funded study exploring full pulpotomy as an alternative to root canal treatment for patients with irreversible pulpitis.
Mrs Desai is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly attends courses and conferences to further enhance her skills.
Outside of dentistry, she enjoys cooking, photography and travelling.
